Emirates passengers travelling to Dubai can now change their flight dates an unlimited number of times without paying a change fee, under new measures introduced by the airline to provide greater flexibility to travellers.
The free date-change facility, effective from August 10, applies to several Economy and Business Class fares, including Saver and Flex options. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares will continue to offer full flexibility.
The airline has also reduced cancellation fees for selected fares and introduced additional measures to make it easier for passengers to modify their travel plans.
Free unlimited date changes for Dubai flights
Passengers travelling to Dubai can change their travel dates as many times as required without paying a change fee.
The facility is available on Economy Saver through Flex fares, as well as Business Class Special, Saver and Flex fares. However, passengers may still have to pay any applicable difference in fare.
Lower cancellation fees
Emirates has also reduced refund fees for flights to Dubai.
For Economy Class passengers, the refund fee has been reduced to $50 for Saver fares and $25 for Flex fares.
For Business Class, the fee is $50 for Special and Saver fares and $25 for Flex fares. No-show fees remain unchanged.
One free date change across Emirates network
Passengers travelling to destinations across the Emirates network can receive one free date change for tickets booked from April 2, 2026, including journeys that connect through Dubai.
Travellers can also hold a fare for 24 hours at no additional cost while finalising their plans.
Travel insurance includes conflict cover
Emirates is also offering a Comprehensive Travel Cover policy that includes conflict-related coverage.
The policy provides reimbursement of medical expenses of up to US$25,000 and a free trip extension of up to 30 days. It also includes trip cancellation protection, baggage delay and loss coverage, worldwide medical expenses and emergency evacuation.
According to Emirates, the conflict cover is not restricted by government travel advice.
The insurance is available in 27 countries and can be purchased while booking through the Emirates website or added to an existing reservation through Manage Booking.
Emirates outlines support for disrupted flights
For passengers affected by flight disruptions, Emirates said it will arrange accommodation directly where required.
If onward connections on other airlines are affected or Emirates services are unavailable, the airline said it will rebook passengers to their final destination at no additional cost.
The policy also covers cancellations resulting from airspace disruptions.
Skywards members receive additional benefits
Emirates Skywards members can also benefit from special offers until August 31.
These include a 20% reduction in the Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status, along with 20% bonus Tier Miles on Emirates and flydubai flights.
Members can also access a special Cash+Miles rate of 2,000 Miles for US$30, compared with the usual US$15, when using Miles towards Emirates or flydubai flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.
Emirates said the new measures are aimed at giving passengers greater flexibility and more options when booking, changing or cancelling their travel plans.
