The England cricket team has expressed its willingness to participate in a proposed ODI tri-series to be hosted in Pakistan, featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England.
According to reports, each team is expected to play two matches against the other sides, with the top two teams on the points table advancing to the final.

Officials further stated that the proposed tri-series is likely to be part of preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
On the other hand, Bangladesh have announced a 15-member squad for the first Test against Pakistan, with Najmul Hossain Shanto set to lead the side. The opening match of the series will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
The squad features a mix of fresh talent and experienced players. Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been appointed vice-captain and will support Shanto in leadership duties as Bangladesh gears up for the home series.
Two new players have been included in the host team’s squad alongside several experienced players. It has been reported that, in addition to captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz will serve as vice-captain.
