Erdoğan holds diplomatic talks with global leaders amid Middle East tension

The alarming conflict in the Middle East is intensifying with each passing day, as world leaders ramp up their efforts to calm the situation. Currently, Iran is aggressively striking targets not only in Israel but also in other Gulf countries.

In this respect, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held diplomatic talks with American, European, and Middle Eastern leaders amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

During these discussions, the leaders discussed how to address the alarming situation in the region.

According to media reports, President Erdoğan spoke with US President Donald Trump about the situation in Iran, emphasising the need to resolve issues through negotiations rather than war.

He also held talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighting that all countries would be severely affected by increasing regional tensions and that serious interventions were needed to reduce them.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia agreed to accelerate the diplomatic process.

Turkish media reported that President Erdoğan expressed solidarity with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani regarding Iranian attacks.

He also spoke with the President and Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, the President of the European Commission, and the Emir of Kuwait.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s new leadership wants to negotiate with the United States.

According to the British news agency President Trump said on Sunday that Iran’s new leadership wants to talk to him, which he has expressed his willingness to do.

In an interview from his residence in Florida, Trump said that he wants to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will talk to them. He should have done it earlier.
