Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over remarks by party leader Junaid Akbar about turning Islamabad into “ruins”.
In a post on X, Kundi accused PTI of promoting what he described as a politics of violence, intimidation and destruction.
“PTI should be ashamed of itself,” Kundi said, referring to Junaid Akbar’s remarks.
The PPP leader also accused PTI of targeting state institutions and promoting a confrontational narrative.
Kundi said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were already facing terrorism, economic difficulties and governance challenges. He questioned PTI’s decision to focus on protests in Islamabad instead of addressing problems in the province.
He challenged PTI leaders to return to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and take responsibility for the province they claim to represent.
Kundi’s remarks came amid growing political tensions over PTI’s planned protests and the party’s demands from the federal government.
