It needs to be noted that the Pakistan team is going to tour to Bangladesh this month where three ODI matches are scheduled to be played.
The national ODI squad will arrive in Dhaka on March 9 and they will have a practice session on March 10.
The first ODI of the series will be played on March 11, the second one on March 13 and third one on March 15.
All of the three matches will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium where some thrilling matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh have been played.
Past Series and Present Situation
Bangladesh toured Pakistan in May and June 2025 with Salman Ali Agha captaining the series with the national team winning all three matches.
Possibility of opportunities for the young players
According to media reports, the selection committee is considering to give opportunities to some of the young players to form a strong ODI team.
It is being proposed that players who have given consistently ineffective performances in the T20 format may be given rest.
According to information, there is a serious consideration of trying new faces in place of Saim Ayub, Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz in order to prepare a strong combination for the future.
Security Concerns Also Under discussion
It is also being suggested that tensions prevailing in the region may have its impact on the tour. However, according to sources, if the travel risks do not increase, the series will be held according to schedule. Both boards are constantly keeping an eye on the situation.
