The Fascist Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government restricted a female journalist from covering an event at IM Sciences college in Peshawar, Pakhtun Digital reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi attended that event, where Pakhtun Digital reporter Rani Andleeb got harassed and barred from covering the event by PTI workers.
In another video, Pakhtun Digital reporter Rani Andleeb confirmed that the workers of Fascist PTI didn’t allow her to cover the event at an educational institution. She also said that PTI workers harassed her and asked her to leave the event.
Rani Andleeb also said that CM KP Sohail Afridi and Meena Khan attended the event. She also said that Sohail Afridi and Meena Khan asked their security guard to bar her from coverage. Rani Andleeb stated that Sohail Afridi and Meena Khan did this after seeing my reporting mic and card.
After that, the security guards of CM KP didn’t allow Rani Andleeb to cover the event and asked her to leave the college premises, Pakhtun Digital reported.
Rani Andleeb also said that the security guards of CM KP and Meena Khan verbally harassed her and forcefully asked her to turn off her camera.
She also said that representatives of the KP government, including CM KP Sohail Afridi, were afraid to face questions regarding the pathetic condition of educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The female journalist further stated that if the government truly claims to uphold democratic values and promote freedom for youth, then such actions raise serious questions about what kind of freedom is actually being offered.
