Pakistan Army’s Rocket Force Command successfully conducted the training launch for the Fatah-4 Ground Launched Cruise Missile on the 14th of May 2026. The purpose was to enhance the operational readiness of the troops and to assess the upgraded systems integrated on the missile.
The Fatah-4 missile system, as stated by ISPR, is equipped with advanced technologies of navigation and precision, which enable it to strike targets with precision at long ranges.
Further, the launch has proven the missile’s enhanced precision with respect to its survivability. This also showcases Pakistan’s indigenous advancements in defence technologies.
The test launch was attended by the Pakistan Army Rocket Forces Command Officers, scientists, and engineers who worked on the development of the missile.
The presence of both the senior military and the technical leadership signified the importance of the test launch in the context of the defence preparedness of the country.
The launch has been termed a successful training launch by the senior most civil and military authorities of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership congratulated all those involved in the successful training fire.
According to the ISPR, the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of the Naval Staff and Chief of the Air Staff praised the dedication, technical expertise and commitment of the scientists, engineers and operational teams behind the development and testing of the Fatah-series missile system.
The successful launch marks another milestone in Pakistan’s indigenous missile development programme and highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities through modern and precision-guided weapon systems.
