Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana has arrived in Canada to participate in the second season of the Canada Super 60 League.
Fatima Sana will represent the Vancouver Anchors in the league. As the Pakistan women’s team has no current commitments, she was issued an NOC to participate in the Canada Super 60 League.

The second season of the Canadian T10 League will be played from September 29 to October 4. Fatima Sana has also previously participated in the English women’s league, The Hundred.
A look at Fatima Sana’s career
Fatima Sana has travelled from tape-ball cricket in Karachi to the captaincy of the national team in a very short period. Today, she is one of the most prominent names in Pakistan women’s cricket.
In 2019, she caught the attention of selectors after taking seven wickets in seven matches in a domestic T20 championship. Just two months later, in May 2019, she made her ODI and T20 debut against South Africa at the age of 17.
She became the PCB Emerging Cricketer of the Year in 2020, and in 2021 became the first Pakistani woman to win the ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. The same year, her outstanding performance of 5/39 against the West Indies proved to be a major turning point in her career. At the 2022 World Cup and Commonwealth Games, she was Pakistan’s most successful bowler.
In August 2024, the PCB appointed her as permanent captain, and after becoming captain, her performance improved significantly. Pakistan remained unbeaten in the 2025 World Cup Qualifier, and she was selected as the captain of the tournament’s best team.
At the 2026 T20 World Cup, she scored an unbeaten 55 runs and took 3 wickets for 16 runs against South Africa, becoming the first captain to score a half-century and take three wickets in the same World Cup match.
This year, she leads all Pakistani batters with 540 runs in T20s, and with 31 wickets, she is also the team’s most successful bowler. Under her leadership, Pakistan reached the podium at the Asia Cup.
With her bowling, aggressive batting and calm leadership, Fatima Sana has today become a respected name not only in Pakistan but also in international women’s cricket.
