Raise my salary, or I will do corruption, FBR officer to PM Shehbaz

FBR officer's letter to PM Shehbaz

An honest FBR officer wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and requested the PM to give him a raise in salary. He also wrote in a letter that if the government does not increase the salary, then he will be forced to engage in corruption according to his needs.

The FBR officer also said that his total salary is Rs 1,22,000 per month, which is not enough for him to support his family. He told the PM through a letter that his house rent is Rs 50,000. The officer also said he is unable to save any money, and he even has a loan of Rs 78,000.

He requested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to increase his salary and make it equal to that of the employees of the PM House. At the end of the letter, he wrote that if the government does not take this issue seriously, then he will be forced to engage in corruption according to his needs.

He also confirmed in the letter that in his entire career, he never committed corruption. He also said that he was forced to ask for money from his parents to run his family.

However, there is no response from the government of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to this letter from the FBR officer.   The situation highlights the growing financial pressure on government employees and raises concerns about how low salaries may push even honest officials toward unethical practices if their basic needs remain unmet.
