Former caretaker prime minister and Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar stated that Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, was deeply saddened to hear the news of the martyrdom of prominent religious scholar Maulana Sheikh Idrees.
While talking to the media, Anwaarul Haq Kakar said that he had not come for politics, but to share in the grief and sorrow of Maulana Sheikh Idrees’ family and colleagues over his martyrdom.
He said that personalities like Sheikh Idrees are priceless, and their absence is always deeply felt. Anwaarul Haq paid tribute to Sheikh Idrees’s services and said that his martyrdom is a great loss.
