The final will be played at New York New Jersey Stadium. FIFA has announced a total prize fund of $871 million for the tournament. This makes it the largest financial package in the competition’s history.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 final between Spain and Argentina will be played on Sunday, July 19.

World Cup 2026 prize money
The World Cup winners will receive $50 million. The runners up will earn $33 million. The third placed team will get $29 million and the fourth placed side will receive $27 million.
Teams that got to the quarterfinals will collect $19 million and those that were out in the Round of 16 will receive $15 million. Teams eliminated in the Round of 32 will earn $11 million.
Every team that qualified for the tournament is guaranteed $10 million. FIFA is also giving each qualified team an extra $2.5 million to help with preparation costs.
The champions will earn $17 million more than the runners up. FIFA increased the prize money after the success of the first 48 team World Cup, which is being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
FIFA first announced a prize package in December 2025. Before the tournament started, it increased the total amount to $871 million.
