Police recovered the bodies of five people from a flat in Karachi’s Ahsanabad area, the private media outlet reported on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased include a doctor, his wife and their three children.
A police contingent reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and launched an initial investigation. The Crime Scene Unit was also called to the location to collect evidence and assist investigators in determining the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the incident and have yet to determine the motive behind the deaths.
In a separate incident in Thatta district, the bodies of a farm worker and his wife were found near Jhirk, police said.
The deceased were identified as farm worker Ramesh Kolhi and his wife. Police said Ramesh’s body was found hanging from a tree.
According to officials, the couple had gone to farmland in the evening to cut grass. Police are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances and possible motive behind the deaths.
