The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new online system for document attestation. The service will allow citizens to apply online and receive their attestation certificates by email after verification.
The new online document attestation system will make the process easier. It will also remove the need to visit ministry offices.
Applicants can submit their documents online and wait for the ministry to review their applications.

How does the new attestation system work?

Under the new system, applicants must submit their applications and required documents through the online platform.
The ministry will check the details and verify the documents before letting the applicants know about the results.
Once the application is approved, applicants can pay the required fee. This payment can be done online easily.
The ministry will then issue an electronic attestation certificate and send it to the applicant’s email address.

How to apply for document attestation online?

Applicants can follow these steps to use the new service:
  1. Submit an application through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ online attestation platform.
  2. Upload the required documents and provide the requested information.
  3. Wait for the ministry to review and verify the application.
  4. Check the ministry’s response about the application.
  5. Pay the required fee online after approval.
  6. Receive the electronic attestation certificate (e-certificate) by email once the process is complete.
Applicants should check the ministry’s official website for the online application link and the latest instructions before applying.

Online asset declarations made mandatory

Previously, the government introduced a new online system for income and asset declarations of BS-17 and above officers.
Under the new system, officers will submit their details through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) portal. This will replace the old manual process.

What is the last date?

The Sindh Police has also directed its officers to follow the new system. Officers have to submit their declarations for the 2025-26 financial year by October 30, 2026.
