A BS-20 officer of Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) and former chairman of CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, is appointed as the new DG Passport and immigration.
The federal government has issued the notice of Muhammad Ali Randhawa’s appointment.
The Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has given a task to bring reforms in the passport and immigration department. Mohsin Naqvi also directed the newly appointed Muhammad Ali Randhawa to digitise the passport and immigration system.
The interior minister also urged Muhammad Ali Randhawa to make passport and immigration a paperless system.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the convenience of the public should be given top priority in the passport and immigration system.
Who is the new Chief Commissioner of Islamabad?
Earlier, Muhammad Ali Randhawa was the chief commissioner of Islamabad, and he also had the additional charge of CDA chairman. However, the federal government changed the chief commissioner of Islamabad yesterday and appointed Lt. (Retd.) Sohail Ashraf as the new chief commissioner of the capital city.
The Establishment Division issued a formal notification for Sohail Ashraf’s posting.
Earlier, Ashraf served as Secretary of Communication and Works, Punjab and held key administrative roles, including Deputy Commissioner in Faisalabad and Gujranwala, as well as DG PDMA and DG Industries.
