Women in Islamabad will have an opportunity to learn scooter riding free of charge under a special training initiative launched by the Islamabad Traffic Police to promote independent and safer travel.

The programme will run from November 1 to November 15, 2026, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan announced.

Interested women can register for the free scooty riding classes by visiting Islamabad Police Lines in H-11. The practical training sessions will take place at Uraan Driving School, where participants will receive hands-on riding lessons under the supervision of experienced female police officers.

The initiative is designed to equip women with essential scooter-riding skills, boost their confidence and make daily commuting easier and more convenient. It also aims to encourage women to become more independent by reducing their reliance on others for transportation.

CTO Kainat Azhar Khan said the Islamabad Traffic Police was taking various measures to empower women and promote self-reliance. She emphasised that providing scooty riding training would enable women to travel more confidently and safely.

The programme offers an opportunity for women who wish to learn scooter riding without paying training fees. Interested participants are encouraged to visit Islamabad Police Lines, H-11, for registration and benefit from the training sessions scheduled between November 1 and 15.
