Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in various areas of Peshawar. Consumers have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to cope with the disruption.
According to the company’s announcement, a main gas pipeline will be relocated on GT Road, Peshawar, near the Zakori Flyover. Gas supply to several areas will remain temporarily suspended during the maintenance work.
Gas suspension schedule
According to SNGPL, the gas shutdown will begin at 9 pm on Tuesday, October 20, and is expected to continue until 5 am on Wednesday, October 21.
Affected areas
The company said gas supply would be affected in Peshawar Cantonment, Lady Reading Hospital, Nothia, Gulberg, Charsadda Road, Pajagi Road and adjoining areas.
SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for cooking and other essential needs in advance to avoid inconvenience during the suspension.
Safety advisory for consumers
The company has also instructed consumers to keep their gas appliances switched off during the suspension period. This precaution is intended to prevent possible accidents when gas supply is restored.
Residents of the affected areas have been urged to plan their essential activities according to the announced schedule. Gas supply is expected to resume after the maintenance work is completed.
