Germany has announced job opportunities for skilled workers from other countries, including Pakistan.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), Islamabad, has shared details about these opportunities.
It has also provided guidance on how Pakistani professionals can apply for jobs in Germany.
How can Pakistanis apply for jobs in Germany?
The BEOE has shared four main steps to help interested candidates find suitable jobs and understand the application process.
The BEOE has advised applicants to first explore different professions through Germany’s official BERUFENET website.
They can then use the Quick-Check tool to check their visa options. Candidates can search for suitable vacancies through Germany’s official job portal and apply directly to employers.
The bureau has also urged Pakistani professionals to check their qualifications and experience before applying for jobs.
Is your degree accepted in Germany?
Pakistanis planning to study or work in Germany can check if their university and degree are accepted under the German education system.
They can use Germany’s official ANABIN database for this purpose. The portal provides information about foreign universities and academic qualifications.
What applicants need to check?
Applicants should first search for their Pakistani university on the ANABIN portal.
They should then check their specific degree, such as a bachelor’s or master’s qualification.
The database mainly shows three types of university results:
- H+ means the university is recognised in Germany.
- H- means the university is not recognised.
- H+/- means only some qualifications from the university may be recognised. Further checks may be needed.
Which professions are in demand?
According to the BEOE, Germany is looking for skilled workers in several sectors.
- Health and medical technology: Dental assistants, medical assistants, veterinary assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, radiology technicians, anaesthesia assistants, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, podiatrists, dental technicians, hearing aid specialists, opticians and orthopaedic technicians.
