There is important news for those who are applying for a driving license during Ramazan. According to a new development, every Pakistani can get licensing services through their original identity card (CNIC).
Several media reports confirmed that the licensing services are continuously being provided to every citizen during Ramazan.
As per the report of a private media outlet, around 67,300 people have been facilitated with the licensing service and 13, 500 new licenses have been issued to the citizens.
Iftar is also being provided to citizens present at licensing centres during Iftar time.
CTO Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, also said that citizens are God’s guests for us, and this opportunity to serve is a source of happiness.
CTO Farhan Aslam further said that licensing service is being provided to citizens through their CNIC, adding that the licenses and learners have been provided to motorcyclists in a single day.
Providing licenses to citizens in a merit-based and respectful manner is our top priority, the CTO added.
Farhan Aslam concluded that while driving, having a driver’s license is the hallmark of confident driving.
Good news for people of KP
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government announced to digitise the entire process of driving license to facilitate the people of the province. The people in KP can submit the application online for the issuance of a driving license for LTV and HTV vehicles by sitting at home.
This service has been devised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board with administrative support of the Transport Director and the Transport and Mass Transit Department.
The citizens of KP will need to install the Dastak mobile application to avail this facility. Through this application, the citizens can create an account online and submit the application for the issuance of a driving license.
