The Balochistan government has announced new working hours for government offices during the winter season. The new timings will be followed from October 15, 2026, to April 14, 2027.
What are the new Balochistan government office timings?
According to a notification from the Services and General Administration Department, offices will open at 8:30 AM and close at 4 PM from Monday to Thursday.
A 30-minute break will be given from 1:30 PM to 2 PM for prayers and lunch.
On Friday, offices will remain open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The break for Friday prayers and lunch will be from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM.
When will government offices close?
Government offices will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday. Employees will therefore have two weekly holidays.

Which offices will follow the new timings?
The new winter schedule will not apply to hospitals or educational institutions.
Schools, colleges and universities will continue to follow their current working hours.
However, offices linked to the Health and Education Departments will work six days a week.
These offices will remain open from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday.
On Friday, their working hours will be from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Will Balochistan government offices have Friday off?
Previously, Friday was a weekly holiday for government offices in Balochistan. The provincial government has now decided to make Friday a working day across Balochistan.
