The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has granted special early access to play the game. Yes, you heard it right.
The development came as a shock to the GTA fans, when Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive allowed a terminally ill fan special access to play Grand Theft Auto 6.
The lucky fan came in the spotlight after LinkedIn posts by , who is a user Interface Integrator at Ubisoft.
He first contacted people in his circle if someone could establish his contact with Rockstar Games to help fulfill this final wish.
Anthony Armstrong took to his social media platform, saying that “A member of my family who has been battling cancer for years just recently got the worst possible news. With this latest update, he may not be around long enough to actually get to see GTA 6 launch.”
The renowned game will be released worldwide on November 19, 2026. Meanwhile, the entire GTA fanclub rallied for the fan and urged the developers to arrange a special access for the fan as his last wish.
Later, Armstrong shared an update saying that “Final update: We spoke to them today and received great news. That’s all I can really share. Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, personally contacted me regarding the situation.”
Rockstar faces lawsuit after firing employees for GTA 6 leaks
Rockstar Games is facing a lawsuit in Scotland after reportedly firing more than 30 employees.
The company says the employees leaked secret information about Grand Theft Auto 6 in a private union chat on Discord.
The report comes from “People Make Games,” which reviewed court documents from the wrongful termination case.
The leaked information was not highly sensitive. It only revealed that the online part of GTA 6 would support at least 32 players.
Court papers show that a lawyer for Rockstar did not read the leaked messages out loud in court and called them “sensitive.”
The judge was asked to read the messages instead. The messages were shared by QA testers. And it mostly discussed work logistics rather than gameplay secrets.
One message noted that Rockstar required at least 43 employees from the Edinburgh QA team for a big stress test.
Another confirmed a test with 32 players had taken place. A third message complained about not getting enough time off, even with a large team.
The firings have raised controversy because the discussions occurred in a private union Discord server.
A safehouse in the hills
Recently, Rockstar Games launched a new GTA Online update called “A Safehouse in the Hills.”
Players can now buy three luxury mansion properties with a wide range of new features and activities.
The new mansions are the Richman Villa, Tongva Estate and Vinewood Residence.
Each property includes an AI Assistant that allows fast travel, party hosting and business support.
Players also get a Master Control Terminal to manage their businesses from inside the mansion.
