Battle to reach final of PSL XI will be decided at Gaddafi Stadium
The battle to reach the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) XI will be decided at Gaddafi Stadium, where Hyderabad Kingsmen and Islamabad United will face each other.
Whichever team performs better today will secure a place in the final and produce match-winning heroes in this do-or-die encounter. Both sides feature several key players who are expected to be the centre of attention.
Islamabad United have a strong batting lineup, with Sameer Minhas in fine form. The team also includes star players such as Devon Conway, Will Jacks, Shadab Khan, and Imad Wasim.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Kingsmen, playing their first PSL season, have Usman Khan in their squad. Their batting lineup, featuring Marnus Labuschagne, Moaz Sadaqat, and Glenn Maxwell, has also been in good touch. In the bowling department, Muhammad Ali and Haneen Shah could prove to be the trump cards for the Kingsmen.
Shadab Khan’s side could not perform well in the qualifiers, suffering a 70-run defeat against Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi. However, they still have a chance to reach the final for the fourth time today.
On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen have bounced back after early consecutive defeats and reached this stage by eliminating Multan Sultans in the first qualifier.
