A large number of seats are still available under Pakistan’s private Hajj scheme for 2027, with around 50,000 slots remaining, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ministry said bookings under the private scheme have increased following a notice issued by its monitoring section. The number of applications received through the Pak Hajj app has reached 21,547.
Bookings gain momentum
The ministry said pilgrims are continuing to submit applications for the private Hajj scheme. Authorities have advised pilgrims to follow the official payment procedure to avoid difficulties or complaints during the booking process.
Pilgrims booking through the private scheme have been instructed to pay their Hajj package charges through the Pak Hajj app. The ministry has also warned applicants against making direct payments to individuals, agents or companies.
Rs18 billion transferred
According to a ministry spokesperson, around Rs18 billion has so far been transferred to the accounts of authorised Hajj companies through the Hajj portal.
Around 45% of the payments were made through digital channels, while the remaining 55% were deposited through manual bank challans, the spokesperson said.
Packages from 25 authorised companies available
The ministry said more than 2,000 Hajj packages offered by 25 authorised companies are currently available on the Hajj portal.
Pilgrims can review the available packages according to their needs and budgets and complete their bookings through the official procedure.
Authorities have advised pilgrims to verify the company’s authorised status and check the information available on the Hajj portal before selecting a package. The ministry said this would help protect pilgrims from financial losses caused by unauthorised individuals or organisations.
Booking deadline set for November 20
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set November 20 as the deadline for registration and booking under the private Hajj scheme through the Hajj portal.
Pilgrims have been advised not to wait until the final date and to complete their booking and payment process within the stipulated time.
