The Ministry of Religious Affairs has begun the registration process for Hajj 2027 pilgrims across Pakistan. Online registerations for Hajj reach 340,000. The registrations are currently in progress. Further details regarding Hajj dues and the official Hajj policy will be announced in the coming days.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that 246,000 pilgrims have secured places under the government scheme. While, 94,000 individuals have been selected through private Hajj operators.
Provincial breakdown of registrations
- Expected Hajj Registrations by Province/Region Punjab: 156,000
- Sindh: 100,000
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 51,000
- Islamabad: 15,000
- Balochistan: 12,000
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK): 2,600
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 1,200 expected registrations
- Total expected Hajj registrations nationwide: 340,000 pilgrims
Intending pilgrims will be informed about the registration deadlines, payment procedures, eligibility criteria, and other operational guidelines for the pilgrimage in the upcoming days shortly.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs advised all pilgrims to stay connected with official sources for accurate and timely information. Pilgrims have been asked to use the ministry’s Pak Hajj mobile application or the Pak Hajj helpline for registration guidance, updates, and answers to any queries.
The ministry stressed registration is a mandatory requirement for individuals wishing to perform Hajj under both government and private schemes. It also urged applicants to avoid relying on unofficial sources and instead follow announcements issued directly by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
On the other hand, previously, Saudi Arabia announced the implementation of a new policy where the pilgrims of the Umrah in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Egypt will have to pay a fixed amount for daily meals as a part of their Saudi Arabia visas.
The new Nusuk Meal Voucher programme will cost around 20 Saudi riyals a day for each pilgrim.
The catering fee will not be taken separately but will be automatically incorporated in the Umrah visa fees as is already the case with the mandatory transportation fee on the Nusuk platform.
