Sazgar Engineering Works Limited, the Pakistani distributor and assembler of vehicles including Haval and GWM, reported its highest annual profit in fiscal year 2026.
Sazgar recorded a profit after tax of Rs23.6 billion during FY26, 44 per cent higher than the previous year.
The company also achieved a record quarterly profit of Rs8.7 billion during the fourth quarter. Quarterly profit increased 151 per cent yearly and 36 per cent compared with the previous quarter.
Sazgar announced a cash dividend of Rs20 per share for the fourth quarter.
Haval and GWM sales
Sazgar’s annual revenue increased by 76 per cent to Rs191.7 billion.
Sales of vehicles from brands including Haval and GWM increased 77 per cent to 19,179 units during the year.
Fourth-quarter revenue climbed 181 per cent yearly and 62 per cent quarterly to Rs76.5 billion.
Sales reached 6,549 units during the quarter, more than twice the number sold during the same period last year. Sazgar also sold around 1,370 Tank vehicles.
Profit margins face pressure
However, Sazgar’s gross profit margin declined from 29.1 per cent in the previous year to 24.2 per cent in FY26.
Its fourth-quarter margin stood at 22.3 per cent, compared with 25.1 per cent last year. AHL linked the decline to changes in the company’s product mix and the impact of rupee depreciation.
Distribution expenses increased 78 per cent to Rs6.2 billion during FY26. Fourth-quarter expenses rose 124 per cent because of deliveries of the newly launched Tank 500.
Other income increased 96 per cent to Rs2.7 billion for the year. In the fourth quarter, it rose 108 per cent to Rs667 million, due to higher deposits.
Meanwhile, finance costs increased 97 per cent to Rs454 million because of higher long-term financing.
Haval H6 GT PHEV launched in Pakistan
Previously, the Haval H6 GT PHEV was launched in Pakistan. GWM introduced the coupe-style SUV with a bold design, modern technology, and improved performance.
The Haval H6 GT PHEV came with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and two electric motors. It used GWM’s Hi4 hybrid system. The combination offered strong performance while also providing the fuel saving benefits of hybrid technology.
