Pakistanis are expected to enjoy an extended break in November 2026, providing them an opportunity to relax, travel or spend quality time with family.

According to the official holiday calendar, November 9, 2026, falls on a Monday. The day will be a public holiday across Pakistan to mark Iqbal Day.

The holiday falls after Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, giving employees and students who have weekends off a three-day break.

Government employees who work five days a week will enjoy three days off in a row.

Similarly, schools and colleges that remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays will have a long weekend from November 7 to 9.

However, some offices and schools remain open on Saturdays. Their employees and students may have a shorter break.

The November holiday will be the first nationwide public holiday since Independence Day on August 14, 2026.

Meanwhile, people planning to travel during the long weekend should make arrangements early. Popular tourist spots may attract more visitors during the holidays.
