The Cabinet Division’s latest news updates also do not mention any new holiday for October.
Therefore, there is currently no official holiday announced for October 14, 15 or 16, 2026.
The next public holiday listed in the federal schedule is Allama Iqbal Day on Monday, November 9, 2026.
Has another school holiday been announced?
Before this, there were reports that September 2 would be declared a school holiday in Rawalpindi. The administration had already announced a holiday on Tuesday, September 1 due to bad weather.
The holiday was announced for students’ safety as heavy rain caused flooding and traffic problems on major roads.
Several low-lying areas were affected by flooding. The water level in Nullah Lai also rose to a dangerous level.
However, no additional holiday was announced for Rawalpindi or Islamabad at that time.
Additionally, the Balochistan government decided to make Friday a working day in all government offices across the province, according to recent reports.
This means that the government offices will now remain open on Fridays. Officials will perform their regular duties and deal with public matters as usual.
According to a circular issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), all government offices in Balochistan will work normally on Friday.
