JazzCash delivers fuel package support to citizens

JazzCash, with Mobilink Bank, has completed the first payment of financial support under Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif’s Fuel Package 2026 recently.

The money is being sent directly to people’s JazzCash wallets across Pakistan, and this is being done in a transparent way.

Major update: who will benefit

JazzCash is a main partner in the government’s Cashless Economy Initiative. Under this program, payments have been sent to verified people such as bus drivers, truck drivers, long-route vehicle owners, and delivery van operators through fast digital transfers. The next phase will include motorcycle owners as well.

The Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that digital finance is important for everyone, and not just for a few people. She said JazzCash is helping deliver real support to citizens through this program.

JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali said they are thankful for the government’s trust. He said fast delivery of funds is very important during financial stress.

He also said that JazzCash uses its large network of agents and merchants to send money safely and quickly.

JazzCash has also started a special helpline 0800-00444 to help people who are confirmed to receive support and need help with the setup process.

The company said it can only assist people who are officially approved by the government. For further details, people should check official government sources.

Digital wallets in Pakistan

Digital banking and mobile wallet users in Pakistan complained that they face problems in services as new rules were applied back in 2025.

These rules required biometric verification for all bank accounts and wallets like JazzCash and Easypaisa.

Customers were given time to complete verification, but that time has now ended. Because of this, some users may not be able to use their accounts until they complete the process.

The rules are expected to improve security and prevent money laundering and illegal financing.

All financial institutions were given time to update their systems, and biometric verification is now required before using an account.

Users with CNIC, NICOP, POC, ARC, or POR documents must complete verification, or they may lose access to their accounts and money.

Experts said that people need to complete verification quickly to avoid problems in using their funds.
