Actor and model Huma Saleem has accused a “famous Pakistani cricketer” of harassment, intimidation and emotional abuse, saying that she has endured a sustained campaign to damage both her personal and professional life.
In a lengthy statement shared on social media, Huma alleged that although she has had no contact with the cricketer for the past two months, he has continued to threaten and harass her.
“I’m writing this in a very unsettling time,” she wrote, alleging that the cricketer is “a cheat, fraud and womaniser” and claiming he recently “crossed the limit” by threatening and mentally disturbing her despite their lack of communication.
The model said that whenever she tries to move on with her life, the Pakistani allegedly returns to cause emotional distress. She added that no woman would intentionally subject herself to public criticism or social backlash unless her patience had been exhausted.
Huma further alleged that the cricketer contacted her family members, friends and work-related colleagues in an attempt to defame her and damage her professional reputation. She claimed the alleged harassment also took place during the time they were in a relationship.
Describing the relationship as abusive, Huma said she remained silent for a long time but had now decided to speak out publicly.
“I have been in an abusive relationship and still I never said anything, but this time my threshold has exceeded,” she wrote.
The actor also alleged that the cricketer repeatedly misrepresented her in front of others and spread false narratives about their relationship.
In another serious allegation, Huma claimed she would expose the cricketer’s alleged activities in hotels involving Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) funds. However, she did not provide any evidence to support the claim in her statement.
She said her legal team is preparing to release documentary evidence in the coming days and vowed to make further revelations publicly.
As of now, the cricketer has not been identified by Huma Saleem, and no public response has been issued regarding the allegations.
