TV actor Shuja Asad has joined the protest demanding justice for IBA student Mir Raza Ali’s murder in Karachi.
Speaking to the media at the protest, Shuja urged his fellow celebrities to come forward and raise their voices against the injustice.
He said no meaningful efforts are being made to ensure justice. Digital creator Azlan Shah also attended the protest.
Mir Raza was the only son of his parents who was murdered in Karachi under unknown circumstances. According to reports, he left his home in the early hours.
A kidnapping case was registered at Ferozabad Police Station on Tuesday on the complaint of the victim’s father.
According to the first information report, on the night between July 27 and 28, Raza returned home from his shop in his car and informed his mother at around 4am that he would step outside his house for 10 minutes. He did not return.
As per initial reports, he was shot dead, and his body was recovered from Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar area. Raza was also one of the founders of the waffle shop, Wafflix.
The investigation is ongoing, however, the culprit behind the murder has not yet been arrested. Many people have taken to social media to demand justice for the young man.
