IBCC launches digital payment facility to simplify processes

The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has launched a new online payment system called IBCC ePay to enable applicants from all over the world to pay equivalence fees using Visa and MasterCard.

It is hoped that the project will help in making the process of equivalence application easier particularly for the foreign students, international students and overseas Pakistanis who are unable to make payments through traditional banking channels.

The introduction of IBCC ePay allows applicants to make payments online without having to go to a bank or use any other physical payment methods.

The new system will offer a quicker, easier and more user-friendly alternative to those wishing to obtain an IBCC equivalence certificate for educational purposes.

The IBCC said the platform would be part of its digital transformation strategy, focusing on more transparency, efficient and accessible public services.

The commission’s goal is to take payments online to help minimise delays and make this process easier for the applicant, no matter where they are.

Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of IBCC stated that the platform was developed with the support and guidance of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to facilitate applicants from all over the world.

He emphasised the commission’s effort to embrace modern technology and enhance service delivery and maintain that this new system is a reflection of that.

Dr Mallah also disclosed that the commission’s effort in developing IBCC ePay which was developed by commission’s in-house team, which shows the commission’s technological prowess and capability of producing digital solutions locally.

This is yet another step towards modernisation of IBCC services and the efficient educational process for applicants both within Pakistan and abroad.
