The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a power shutdown schedule for Monday, February 23, 2026, during the holy month of Ramzan.
The announcement comes amid earlier assurances from the Power Division that efforts would be made to ensure uninterrupted electricity during Ramzan.
IESCO says the temporary outages are linked to annual system maintenance on 11kV feeders, 132kV grid stations and transmission lines.
According to the company, the maintenance work is necessary to improve system stability ahead of the peak summer season. The schedule has been published on IESCO’s official website.
Below are the details for each operational circle.
Islamabad Circle
In the Islamabad Operation Circle, power suspension has been scheduled from 7:00am to 12:00pm for several feeders as part of construction work.

IESCO has stated that annual maintenance of 11kV feeders in the Islamabad circle is otherwise listed as nil, with outages mainly linked to construction-related work.
Rawalpindi Circle
In the Rawalpindi Operation Circle, outages are scheduled under construction work on multiple feeders.

IESCO has indicated that no separate annual maintenance shutdowns are listed for 11kV feeders in this circle beyond the scheduled construction works.
Attock Circle
In the Attock Operation Circle, power suspension is scheduled from 11:00am to 2:00pm due to construction work.

Maintenance during Ramzan
The scheduled shutdowns fall during Ramzan 2026, a month when electricity demand often rises, particularly during sehri and iftar hours.
IESCO says the maintenance is mandatory to strengthen the distribution system and ensure smoother supply during the upcoming high-demand season.
The company has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to consumers.
