Former National cricketer and all-rounder Imad Wasim recently married a social media influencer, Nyla Raja. After their wedding, Imad’s ex-wife, Sannia Ashfaq, made a shocking allegation on social media.
Sannia said that in December 2023, Imad forced her to undergo a miscarriage in Lahore. She called him a “killer” and said she was betrayed by him, saying that she has video evidence to prove her words.
Call to boycott Islamabad United
Sannia Ashfaq criticised Islamabad United for giving an opportunity to Imad Wasim, despite the allegations.
She encouraged fans to boycott the team, writing no “killer or betrayer” should get away with it.
For context, in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Imad Wasim had been bought by Islamabad United for PKR 2.2 crore.
After his marriage, Sania took to social media to launch a campaign using the hashtag #BoycottIslamabadUnited to demand some form of action against him.

Previously Sannia posted a video accusing Imad and Nyla of secretly marrying. Imad later confirmed the marriage himself with a full post on social media.
Nyla Raja Breaks Silence
Social media influencer, Nyla Raja also spoke on the controversy. She said that if Imad ever reconnect with them, she said she will open her heart to them.
She stressed her position on the matter stating this is her truth and she is firm regardless of the criticism she is facing.

The reactions to Nyla’s post were different among users of the Internet. One user has commented, “It takes courage to say this, but why make yourself out to be a victim?”
Another wrote, “If someone can turn away from their own children, then he or she could turn away from you.”
The controversy has caused fans to rage, emphasising the continued tension between Imad Wasim’s personal life and image as a public figure.
