Qatar Airways has issued an urgent update for passengers travelling through Hamad International Airport Doha.

The airline has requested passengers not to arrive at the airport more than four hours before their scheduled departure time. It also stated that only travellers with confirmed bookings should proceed to the airport.

In addition, passengers have been advised to check their flight status in advance through the airline’s official website or mobile application to stay updated on any changes.

Qatar Airways flight operation

Qatar Airways earlier announced the resumption of limited flights to several destinations after the closure of Qatari airspace disrupted its operations.

The airline said it has received temporary authorisation from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to operate select flights through restricted air corridors, allowing it to gradually restore services and assist passengers affected by the disruption.

However, Qatar Airways stated that operations remain limited while safety conditions are being assessed for the full reopening of Qatari airspace. A complete return to the airline’s regular flight network has not yet been confirmed.

Limited flights scheduled

In a statement, Qatar Airways said the temporary operations will support travellers whose journeys were interrupted and help them reach their final destinations.

Passengers eligible for these flights will be contacted directly by the airline. Travellers have also been advised not to go to the airport unless they hold a confirmed ticket.

The airline said it is making every effort to assist affected passengers and help reunite them with family members as soon as possible.

Flexible travel options for passengers

Qatar Airways has also announced flexible travel arrangements for passengers with confirmed bookings between February 28 and March 28.

Affected travellers can change their travel date free of charge to any available flight up to April 30, or request a refund for the unused portion of their ticket.

Passengers are encouraged to manage or update their bookings through the airline’s website or mobile application, which remains the fastest way to make changes while disruptions continue.

Pakistani passengers currently in Doha with confirmed Qatar Airways tickets for travel between February 28 and March 28, 2026, can also rebook their flights online via the airline’s booking management portal.

Those unable to complete the rebooking process online may send their ticket details and nature of emergency to paredoha@mofa.gov.pk for possible facilitation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
