Imran Abbas explains why he is staying away from drama industry

Pakistani actor Imran Abbas has clarified the reasons behind his absence from television dramas, stating that he currently has no plans to take on new projects. The actor remains one of Pakistan’s most popular television stars and has earned widespread appreciation for his performances in his successful dramas over the years.

Imran Abbas said that reports regarding his decision should be understood in the proper context. During a question-and-answer session on his Instagram handle, one fan asked why he had not appeared in a new drama recently. The actor explained that he is staying away from television for some time so he can focus on other professional commitments.

The actor further explained that he does not believe the majority of scripts currently being offered to him are impactful enough, as he prefers to wait for a project that interests him rather than accepting a role simply to remain visible on television.

Imran Abbas also highlighted that his temporary break from television does not mean he is leaving the entertainment industry, instead he will be making a return with a script he truly believes in.

Moreover, Imran Abbas also recently shared glimpses of his spiritual journey to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq during the 9th of Muharram. His Instagram posts on his social media, photographs and videos showed his participation in religious activities, visits to sacred shrines and tours of historic sites in the city. The actor described Karbala as a place of historical and spiritual significance.

Imran Abbas is a Pakistani actor, model and producer who works predominantly in Urdu television and films. He made his acting debut with Umrao Jaan Ada in 2003. Additionally, Pakistani actor Imran Abbas made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Creature 3D opposite Bipasha Basu, earning a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. He subsequently starred in the 2015 period romance Jaanisar and made an appearance in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.
