Lahore police have arrested social media influencer and YouTuber Nadeem Mubarak, popularly known as Naniwala, over allegations of reckless driving and obstructing public officials while on duty.

According to reports, a case was registered against Nadeem at Defence C Police Station following a complaint lodged by traffic police officer Fahad-ur-Rehman. The FIR includes charges related to negligent driving and interference with official government duties.

The FIR states that traffic police signalled a non-registered vehicle with tinted windows to stop. However, the driver allegedly ignored the instructions, sped away on a one-way road, and attempted to evade authorities. During the pursuit, the suspect is also accused of trying to ram his vehicle into pursuing officers.

Police said the vehicle was eventually parked at a residence in Defence Phase 7, where the accused allegedly continued to threaten traffic officials. The FIR further claims that Nadeem Mubarak issued threats to an on-duty traffic police officer.

Meanwhile, traffic authorities reiterated that strict action will continue against motorists driving vehicles without registration plates, using non-standard number plates, or illegally displaying blue or green warning lights. Officials emphasised that no leniency will be shown to individuals found violating traffic laws.
