The preliminary post-mortem report of student Eshal Fatima, who died in Jhang, has been released, revealing key initial findings in the case.
According to ARY News, the DHQ hospital administration stated that the initial autopsy found no evidence of sexual assault or physical violence on the body.
Officials further said that necessary samples have been sent to a forensic laboratory in Lahore for detailed analysis. They added that the final cause of death will only be determined after receiving the forensic report, which will help clarify all aspects of the incident.
Meanwhile, investigations into the case are continuing, with authorities reviewing the matter from multiple angles.
Earlier, District Police Officer Jhang, Sajid Hussain, said that all aspects of the case are being examined carefully. He added that the inquiry will be completed on merit and with full transparency once all forensic and post-mortem reports are received.
He also confirmed that CCTV footage had emerged showing the suspects allegedly leaving the victim in a critical condition at the hospital before fleeing the scene. Authorities are now analysing this footage as part of the ongoing investigation.

Earlier, Police arrested three suspects in connection with the rape and murder of an 18-year-old college student from Jhang, a day after she died while receiving treatment at a hospital.
Police tracked down the suspects in Jhang and Lahore. CCTV footage showed the accused bringing the girl to a private hospital and leaving shortly afterwards.
According to police and family members, the first-year college student, who lived in Sultan Colony, left her home on June 4 to collect her roll number slip. When she did not return, her family began searching for her.
