Iran has bombed their Salalah port in Oman today. However, Individuals on social media are showing concern that every ship, every port, and every piece of infrastructure in the region is a target of Iran.
Oman’s state media also confirmed that a drone had crashed near Salalah port. However, the statement by Oman’s state media also said that Oman intercepted two other drones launched by Iran.
Iran attacked several US bases in Gulf countries. Several media reports confirmed that Iran attacked around 14 countries after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Syed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran hits US embassy in Riyadh
Earlier today, Iranian drones hit the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Syed Ayatollah Khamenei, on last Sunday, Iran targeted multiple ports, embassies, and industries in the Middle East.
3 people killed in UAE, 68 injured
An international media outlet reported that three people have been killed in the UAE during an Iranian strike in the country. The report also confirmed that 68 people sustained injuries.
The UAE defence ministry also confirmed that Iran launched 186 missiles and 812 drones. However, the UAE intercepted 755 drones and 172 missiles.
Sirens in Kuwait City
The international media outlet also confirmed that sirens are sounding in Kuwait City. Earlier, the Kuwaiti foreign minister also condemned Iran’s attack on the US embassy in Riyadh.
“The ministry reiterates its affirmation of the State of Kuwait’s right to take all necessary measures and actions to protect its security, the safety of its territories, its citizens, and the residents therein,” it said.
Pakistan’s stance on war
Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, said that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are working to de-escalate tensions between Iran and the United States.
