Some countries have started mediation to stop the war between Iran and Israel and the United States (US), the Iranian president, Masoud Pazeshkian, said. On February 28, Israel and the United States launched attacks on Iran. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Syed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in US-Israel strikes.
After the killing of the Supreme Leader, Syed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran targeted several US military installations in Gulf countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Oman. However, the war between Iran and the US-Israel is ongoing.
The Iranian president, Masoud Pazeshkian, wrote in a post on X, “Some countries have begun mediation efforts. Let’s be clear: we are committed to lasting peace in the region, yet we have no hesitation in defending our nation’s dignity & sovereignty. Mediation should address those who underestimated the Iranian people and ignited this conflict.”
Where was Iran attacked in Iran-Israel war?
Iran targeted multiple countries during the Iran-Israel war, particularly Gulf countries, and attacked US military bases and other installations. Iran attacked military bases in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE.
Earlier, an unknown drone hit the airport in Azerbaijan, and several media outlets claimed that the drone that hit Azerbaijan’s airport was an Iranian drone. Following speculation, the Iranian defence authorities clarified that Iran didn’t attack Azerbaijan.
Iran-Israel war: Iran launches attack on Kurdhish groups
An international media outlet is claiming that Iran launched missiles at Kurdish armed opposition groups amid the Iran-Israel war. The media reports also confirmed that Kurdish armed groups are against the Iranian regime.
However, several journalists and academics said that Iran is a powerful and well-structured army and can easily wipe out the Kurdish armed opposition amid the Iran-Israel war.
Earlier, the US President Donald Trump also said that America could send troops to fight with Iran during the Iran-Israel war.
