Traffic diversions will be implemented at various locations across Islamabad’s major roads, including the Islamabad Expressway and Srinagar Highway, to facilitate the movement of a foreign delegation.
According to an Islamabad Police spokesperson, traffic will be diverted to alternative routes at several points along Srinagar Highway, particularly between Serena Chowk and Ninth Avenue.
Motorists travelling on Srinagar Highway have been advised to use Suhrawardy Road, the service roads of sectors G-8 and G-9, and Zero Point as alternative routes.
Similarly, traffic heading towards Faizabad has been advised to use Faisal Avenue, while motorists travelling towards Ninth Avenue should take Service Road East.
Citizens travelling out of Islamabad have been instructed to use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road to avoid possible traffic disruptions.
Islamabad Police warned that the diversions could increase traffic congestion on several major roads across the federal capital.
Authorities have advised commuters to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys to ensure they reach their destinations on time.
The police spokesperson said Islamabad Traffic Police officers would be deployed at various locations to assist commuters and keep traffic flowing smoothly.
Citizens have been urged to follow traffic police instructions while travelling and cooperate with officers managing traffic diversions.
For further updates and information regarding traffic arrangements, motorists have been advised to follow the official social media pages of Islamabad Police.
