The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a notice to Islamabad’s Akhtar-ul-Uloom madrassa, affiliated with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), over allegedly constructing its building without an approved building plan. The authority has given the madrassa administration 15 days to submit the required documents, warning that failure to comply could lead to legal action and the sealing of the premises.
According to the notice, the madrassa building was constructed without obtaining approval for its building plan from the relevant authorities. The CDA has directed the administration to submit the building plan within 15 days of receiving the notice.
The authority has warned that failure to meet the deadline could result in legal proceedings against the madrassa administration. It has also cautioned that the premises could be sealed if the required documentation is not submitted within the stipulated period.
The notice places the responsibility on the madrassa administration to ensure that the building complies with the authority’s regulations and that the necessary approvals are obtained.
The development comes as the CDA continues to enforce building regulations in Islamabad, where construction projects are required to comply with approved layouts and relevant planning requirements.
The madrassa administration now faces a 15-day deadline to submit the building plan and avoid potential enforcement action. Whether the administration will comply with the notice or challenge the authority’s decision remains to be seen.
