Intermittent rainfall has brought pleasant weather to Islamabad on Thursday after several days of intense heat and humidity. These rain spells are expected to continue over the next 10 days
Cool winds have lowered the temperature across the federal capital, making the weather enjoyable.
Will it rain in Islamabad tomorrow?
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the rainy spell is not expected to end today. The department has forecast more intermittent rain over the next 10 days.

Rainfall in different sectors of Islamabad has already reduced the heat. The PMD said the city’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius today. The minimum temperature is likely to remain around 26 degrees Celsius.
The weather department has predicted light to moderate rain on July 24 and 25. On July 26, heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected.
The rain is likely to stop on July 27, and the weather is expected to become hot and dry. The temperature could rise to 34 degrees Celsius that day.
According to the PMD, another spell of rain is expected to begin on July 28. There is a 50 per cent chance of rainfall on July 29 and 30.
Rain with thunder and lightning has also been forecast for July 31 and August 1. The continued showers are expected to keep the weather pleasant across the city.
Glacial flood alert issued for THESE KP districts
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a high alert for eight districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday because of the risk of glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) and flash floods.
The districts that are facing the highest risk are Chitral, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Swat, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, and Mansehra.
The PDMA said that the rivers, streams, and seasonal nullahs may also see a sharp rise in water levels. This could put nearby villages and communities in danger.
Officials have also been told to complete plans for possible evacuations in Chitral, Upper Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Mansehra.
