Gas supply will be suspended in parts of Karachi to facilitate repair work on the main gas line in the Shershah area, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced.
According to SSGC, repair work on the 24-inch-diameter Shershah main line will require a shutdown from 10:00 pm on Saturday until 9:00 am on Sunday.
The company said gas pressure could drop in several areas if the shutdown is extended. The affected areas may include Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, Saeedabad and Naval Colony.
Residents of Musharraf Colony and Mawach Goth may also experience low gas pressure, while various parts of Orangi Town could face pressure fluctuations.
Other areas likely to be affected include Gulshan-e-Bahar, Gulshan-e-Zia, Sector 16, Ghaziabad, Altaf Nagar, Mehran City and Ramzan Goth. Gas pressure may also be affected in the SITE Industrial Area during the repair work.
