Over 25 acres of government land in Karachi recovered in grand operation

The Director of State & Enforcement at the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Shakeel Ahmed Khan, spearheaded a major operation in two sectors of Surjani Town, leading to the demolition of both temporary and permanent structures on government property, along with several illegal booking offices.

As a result, over 25 acres of government land have been successfully reclaimed.

The initiative targeting illegal constructions and encroachments on more than 100 acres of state land in Sectors 10 and 13 began on Wednesday.

During the operation, the perpetrators put up fierce resistance, throwing stones and engaging in heavy gunfire, which posed considerable challenges for the personnel of the State & Enforcement department.

Nevertheless, with the assistance of law enforcement agencies, the operation proceeded without any interruptions.

Director General of KDA, Asif Jan Siddiqui, has reaffirmed the authority’s dedication to executing fair and ongoing actions against the land mafia and encroachers.

He stressed that no illegal occupation or encroachment on KDA-owned land will be accepted under any circumstances.

As reported by NAB Karachi officials, the bureau has frozen a property referred to as “Ali Villa,” which is allegedly built for the personal residence of Malik Riaz Hussain under the name of his son, Ali Riaz Malik, located in Bahria Hills within Bahria Town Karachi.
