English batter, Jason Roy has been signed by Karachi Kings as a replacement for Muhammad Waseem in the Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 11).
Muhammad Waseem was released from the team due to his national duty with the UAE.
It was also confirmed by the franchise that Khuzaima bin Tanveer has also left the squad for the same reasons.
Both of these players were asked to immediately return to UAE to take part in the domestic UAE’s ongoing 50-over tournament.
As mentioned before Jason Roy has been drafted in place for Waseem. However, the replacement for Khuzaima will be announced later.
This will not be the first experience of Jason Roy in the PSL. He had previously played for Quetta Gladiators for 5 years from 2017 to 2024. He has a strong record in the tournament.
As of yet Jason Roy has played 38 PSL matches and has scored 1260 runs. He has an average of 36 and a strike rate of 146.51. He had made eight half centuries and two centuries.
Due to Jason Roy Karachi will now have a proven top-order position. The team is also looking to strengthen its campaign as the tournament is moving towards an important stage.
At the points table Karachi Kings currently stand in the fourth position. It has two defeats and here wins from five matches.
Karachi Kings will be playing against Islamabad United on April 16 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
