Karachi police issues order to suspend 22 officers including 6 SHOs

Police Chief Azad Khan has issued a suspension order against SHOs of 6 police stations in Karachi and directed the dismissed police officers and officials to report to their respective police headquarters.

A departmental inquiry is currently underway against the police officers and officials who face suspension.

The suspended officers include SHO New Karachi Inspector Qamar Javed Kiani, SHO Mochko Inspector Malik Faisal Latif, SHO Madina Colony Inspector Khalid Rafique, SHO Baldia Inspector Syed Farasat Hussain Shah, SHO Ittehad Town Inspector Nafees-ur-Rehman and SHO New Karachi Industrial Area Inspector Rizwan Qureshi, while 3 head muharras, including Head Muharras Baldia Town ASI Firdous Malik, Head Muharras Mochko ASI Abdul Majid and Head Muharras New Karachi Head Constable Hassan Aziz.

The Police Chief has further appointed SSP Reserve District Keamari Inspector Ehsan Ahmed Channa, DIB Branch District Keamari In-charge ASI Abid Hussain, Head Constables Haroon Rashid and Muhammad Afnan of Police Station Baldia Town, Constables Haris Iqbal and Ijaz Ahmed of Police Station Baldia Town, Muhammad Sufyan Rashid of District Central Police, Muhammad Danish Aslam of Police Headquarters Garden, Arsalan of Police Station Madina Colony, Haroon Bakhtiar, Daniyal Khan and Muhammad Usman of Police Station Ittehad Town, Osama Malik of Security One.

Karachi police crackdown on vehicles with fancy number plates

Earlier, Karachi police launched a major crackdown against vehicles with fancy number plates.

Police in Karachi carried out a crackdown to enforce traffic laws, issuing 164 challans during the first day of a city-wide campaign.

The operation was part of a wider effort to ensure compliance with road rules and reduce the use of illegal or non-standard vehicle number plates.
