Karachi to experience warmer weather as heatwaves begin

Pakistan heatwave

Hot weather is expected to witness in Karachi on Friday (today) due to intense sunshine and reduced wind speeds, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

As per the Met office in the city, mild heatwave like condition have started, and warm weather is likely to continue in coming three days. The temperature is expected to rise further, possibly exceeding 38°C by Sunday.

Today, around 36°C, the maximum temperature is forecast, and on Saturday it may climb to 37°C.

In the early part of the day, winds are expected to blow from the northeast of Balochistan, and the usual southwestern sea breeze may remain inactive for some time.

The department said that despite the rising temperature, a full heatwave is unlikely due to moderate humidity levels and only temporary suspension of sea breezes.
