Karachi is likely to experience partly cloudy and humid weather over the next three days, However, there are also chances of rain during the morning and night hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Karachi weather forecast

According to the Met Office, light rain may occur in some parts of Karachi. The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C during the next few days. However, high humidity could make conditions feel warmer and more uncomfortable during the daytime.

Southwest winds commonly bring moisture into Karachi and play an important role in maintaining the city’s humid and cloudy weather during the monsoon season. These winds can also provide some relief from the heat, although increased moisture in the atmosphere contributes to higher humidity.

The forecast comes as Karachi continues to experience August weather, when cloud cover and occasional drizzle are common.

According to PMD, Karachi normally receives around 61.4 millimetres of rainfall during August.

Karachi residents to expect mostly cloudy and humid conditions rather than a major rain spell. They are also advised to follow updated forecasts issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Rawalpindi weather update

On the other hand, Rawalpindi witnessed a welcome improvement in weather conditions after torrential rainfall left many roads and streets submerged across Rawalpindi and Islamabad a day earlier.

The morning commute was noticeably smoother as people headed to offices, schools and colleges. Although earlier forecasts had indicated rain during the morning hours, most parts of Rawalpindi remained largely dry for much of the morning.

The temperature stood at 26°C in areas around Chaklala Scheme III and Ayub National Park Road.
