Karachi weather: air quality falls to 'unhealthy' range

University Road and Malir recorded AQI readings of 153 and 154.

Gulistan-e-Johar also had an AQI of 154. Shahra-e-Faisal and DHA Phase 5 reported 161 and 152.

Mauripur recorded the highest AQI at 160, while Gulshan-e-Iqbal block 14 had 158.

The three-day forecast shows only a little improvement. AQI is expected to be 118 on January 4, 106 on January 5, and rise to 188 on January 6. This means the quality keeps worsening.

Lahore AQI

In Lahore, air quality is “Unhealthy” to “Very Unhealthy.” The AQI is 192, with PM2.5.

Lahore currently ranks as the 7th most polluted city in the world.

The temperature is expected to be 9°C in Lahore. With high humidity at 81 per cent and low wind speeds.
