The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has introduced an online system for the registration and licensing of tourism related businesses across the province.
The service is available through the Business Management Information System (BMIS) Portal. It is operated by the Tourist Services Wing (TSW) of KPCTA.
The portal allows business owners to apply for a licence online. The facility is available for hotels, guest houses, restaurants, travel and tour agencies, rental car services, ticketing businesses and tourist guides.
The initiative aims to improve business services, and promote safe and quality tourism across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
How to apply for a business license online
- Visit the official BMIS Portal and create an account
- Enter name, CNIC number, contact details, email address and phone number
- Select the category of business
- Complete the online application form with the required business and licence details
- Check the payment details and the scope of your business
- Print the generated challan and pay the required fee at any Bank of Khyber branch
- Upload the required documents
- Review all the information carefully before submitting your application
- After submission, the application will be sent to the relevant department for processing
- Application progress can be tracked through the BMIS dashboard
- The department will review your application. Once it is approved, a licence number will be issued
- The application status will also be updated on the dashboard
- After approval, download and print the QR-coded digital license directly from the BMIS dashboard
Applicants are also advised to check their dashboard regularly. The TSW team may post requests for additional information during the application process.
