KP residents pledge full support to Pakistan Army

The residents of different localities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Army amid rising tensions with Afghanistan, pledging full support to the armed forces in the face of any external aggression.

Speaking to the media, residents said the people of the province stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army and would give a ‘befitting reply’ to any act of Afghan aggression.

They emphasised that there would be no compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Referring to history, citizens recalled that when Russia invaded Afghanistan in 1979, Pakistan extended full support to the Afghan people. They noted that Pakistan not only backed Afghans politically and diplomatically but also sheltered millions of Afghan refugees for decades.

‘Afghan refugees were given space in the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as in Punjab and Sindh,” residents said, adding that Pakistan fulfilled its humanitarian responsibilities despite economic and security challenges.

A resident, Muhammad Umar, stated that Afghanistan and Pakistan share deep cultural and ethnic ties, particularly among Pashtuns on both sides of the border. ‘Afghans are our Pashtun brothers and should respect the traditions and values of Pashtun culture,” he said.

Reaffirming confidence in the country’s defence capabilities, residents declared that the Pakistan Army is fully capable of responding decisively to any external threat. “Pakistan was founded on strong ideological foundations and cannot be defeated,” they asserted.

People reiterated that while they desire peace and brotherly relations with Afghanistan, any aggression against Pakistan would be met with a strong and effective response on every front.
